Review of Le Pavillion New Orleans, Louisiana

Le Pavillion hotel is a historical hotel built in 1907. It is located approximelty six blocks from the heart of The French Quarter. I stayed at the hotel for a long weekend of July of 2009. Below is my take on various aspects of The Le Pavillion Hotel.

Service

To be truthful I did not have all that many encounters with service personel during the course of my stay. The check in process went smoothly. The agent lacked any kind of personality at check in. I felt as if he was just going though the motions, and I was just one more person to deal with over the course of his shift. The housekeeping service was provided in a timly manner during the course of my stay. The beds were made, bathroom cleaned and amenities refreshed. However, turn down service was not provided. One afternoon I decided relax at the hotels rooftop pool.  Upon arriving to the pool area I noticed that the towel rack was completly empty. I picked up the house phone and asked the hotel operator if some towels could be brought up to the pool area. I waited twnety five minutes and no towels were ever brought up to the pool area.

Room/Amenities

The room size was fairly large for such an old hotel. The carpets, walls and furniture were in excellent condition. The bathroom was very small for a luxury hotel. Standard rooms all come with combinations showers/tubs that must of expect in more mid-range properties. Amenities include Molton Brown shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. The room did not feature a flat screen television which is an absoulte must into todays luxury hotel rooms. Internet is avaliable both wired and wireless for a small aditional fee. I could not believe that the bed's in the room featured a cheezy motel bed spread.
